The Importance of Having a Marketer in the Community

The Importance of Having a Marketer in the Community

HealthCARE Express invests $30,000+/year on the salary of a community educator in each market. HealthCARE Express firmly believes that the best way to grow our patient volume and our occupational medicine client base is through positive word of mouth and educating the community about what we do.  It is why we hire a community educator for each new market, instead of having one centralized person handling media buy for all markets and not being actively involved in our communities. Because over the years we have found that when we have a community educator out working hard every day in the community to speak to as many people as possible, our patient volume and occupational medicine business grows.  When a position is vacant for a period of time, or we have a community educator who is not out talking to as many people as possible each day, this does not happen at the same rate.  This has been proven without exception over the years in every market we’ve gone into.

What has also been proven over the years in every market we go into is that traditional media strategies are seldom effective at growing our practice.  Community educators help ensure the “word on the street” about HealthCARE Express stays positive during their daily visits to area businesses and at community events. There will be times when a community educator run into patient complaints, and it then becomes their job to turn the complaint around to a compliment.  It has been proven time-and-again that an unhappy customer will tell at least 6 people about a bad experience.  Every day a community educator help ensure we have raving fans in the community!
